The MG5 adopts MG's signature "Hunter's Eye" or "Shark's Eye" design language, featuring a large vertical waterfall or parametric grille at the front, paired with sharp LED headlights for a strong visual impact. The most striking feature of the side profile is the Fastback coupe design, with lines flowing smoothly down from the B-pillar to the rear, combined with the extra-wide body (1842mm) and dynamic waistline, creating a low-slung, sporty stance. The rear design typically includes split or continuous taillights, a small ducktail spoiler, and dual exhaust trim, further enhancing the sporty feel. The 2026 model adds more youthful body colors such as "Bubble Orange" and "Andes Gray."

All models come standard with the XDS cornering dynamic control system, which improves cornering agility and stability by braking the inner drive wheel.
